Answers to the questions we are asked most about wing mirror glass, wiper blades, orders and returns. Can't find what you need? Contact us.
Finding the right part
How do I find the right wing mirror glass for my car?
Shop by your car's make, then filter by model and year and choose the side, glass type and fitting. Compare the listing photos with your old glass before you order. Our mirror glass buying guide explains each step.
Is the left mirror the driver or passenger side?
In the UK, the left mirror is on the passenger side and the right mirror is on the driver side. Left is also called nearside (N/S) and right is called offside (O/S). Sides are described as seen from the driver's seat, facing forward.
What is the difference between convex and blind spot glass?
Convex glass curves evenly across the whole surface. Blind spot glass (also called aspherical or wide angle) has a more curved outer section, usually marked by a dotted or solid line, that shows more of the area beside your car. Choose the same type as your original glass.
How do I know if my wing mirrors are heated?
Look at the back of your old glass: heated glass has two metal terminals, usually with wires attached. You can also check for a mirror heating switch or look in your vehicle handbook.
Do I need stick-on or clip-on glass?
Choose stick-on glass if the backing plate in your mirror is undamaged, and clip-on glass if the backing plate is broken or missing. Heated glass on our website comes as clip-on glass.
Does stick-on glass come with adhesive pads?
It does. The pads are included, ready to fit onto your existing backing plate.
Does clip-on glass come with a backing plate?
Yes, the glass comes already fixed to one. The plate clips onto the mount inside your mirror.
Do you sell complete wing mirrors?
No. We sell replacement mirror glass, with or without a backing plate, not complete mirror units or housings.
Which wiper blades fit my car?
Shop by your car's make, model and year. Each WipeWave listing shows the blade sizes and the wiper arm connector it fits. Our wiper blade guide explains sizes and connector types.
Fitting
Can I fit wing mirror glass myself?
Usually, yes. Most wing mirror glass can be replaced at home without taking the mirror off the door. Our step-by-step fitting guide shows you how. Wear gloves and safety glasses.
Can I fit wiper blades myself?
Yes. Wiper blades clip onto the wiper arm and need no tools. Lay a towel on the windscreen under the arm while you work, in case the arm springs back.
My new heated glass is not warming up. What should I check?
First make sure both connectors are pushed fully onto the terminals and the mirror heating is switched on. Does the other mirror stay cold too? Then the problem may be the car's fuse or switch. If it still does not work, contact us.
